This Technology Specialist (TS) exam, Exam 70-640: TS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring, became available in March 2008. This exam is available in English, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese [Simplified], French, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Spanish.

Audience Profile
The Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) on Windows Server 2008 credentials are intended for information technology (IT) professionals who work in the complex computing environment of medium to large companies. The MCTS candidate should have at least one year of experience implementing and administering Windows Server 2008 R2 in an environment that has the following characteristics:
•250 to 5,000 or more users
•multiple physical locations, multiple domain controllers
•network services and resources such as messaging, databases, file and print,  firewalls, Internet access, an intranet, Public Key Infrastructure, remote access, remote desktop, virtualization, and client computer management
•connectivity requirements such as connecting branch offices and individual users in remote locations to corporate resources, and connecting corporate networks

The introduction for LPIC Level3

The LPIC-3 Certification program represents the culmination of LPI’s Certification Program.LPIC-3 is designed for the “enterprise-level” Linux professional. The program has been developed with the input of hundreds of Linux professionals from around the globe and with input from some of the world’s leading technology companies. It also represents the highest level of professional, distribution-neutral Linux certification within the industry.

The LPIC-3 program consists of a single exam for LPIC-3 “Core” designation. A number of “specialty” exams are proposed as additional designations on top of the LPIC-3 “Core” certification. Proposed specialties include the following: Mixed Environment, Security, High Availability and Virtualization, Web and Intranet, and Mail and Messaging. The first such “specialty” designation, “Mixed Environment” was made available in January 2007 and “Security” was released in February 2009.
